Proposed activities for EVS volunteers
" Describe what you can offer to volunteers in terms of service and learning opportunities.
With the EvS volunteers, our organization is working on 3 horizontal learning processes:
1. Learning by doing
2. Learning by sharing
3. Learning by mistakes.
We offer space for the volunteers to develop their own ideas, to take initiatives and work in small groups. Based on the activities of the organization in national and international level, volunteers will participate on planning, preparing and implementing projects. During the hall period of their European voluntary service, we will focus on the personal support and mentoring. All the learning procedure will be based in the principals of non formal education.

The volunteers will have an active role in the organization. They will participate equally in all meetings for the policy and the decision making process of the organization. They will support according to their experience and their skills all activities in national and international level.
" Describe the activities in which the volunteers could be involved and the activities the volunteers could create in your organisation. Give examples of typical activities for the volunteers.
According to his/her abilities and experience he/she will participate in our local, national and international activities:
LOCAL - NATIONAL:
¢ Participation in all performances (street theater, clowning, juggling etc)
¢ Helping in organization of local events, seminars
¢ Designing flyers posters, drawing fare tales
¢ Supporting EVS departing (giving information - preparation - follow up)
¢ Providing information about future capital
¢ Participating in campaigns about "Kids IN Action"
INTERNATIONAL:
¢ Participation in seminars of "Kids IN Action"
¢ Helping in organization of training courses, seminars, youth exchanges
¢ Supporting the events using audio visual tools
¢ Participation in International festival (street theatre)
¢ Full involvement at the preparation of each international event
There will be a great variety of activities for the volunteer to realize which will give to the volunteer the opportunity to meet the local community and to be familiarized with the Greek culture, values and customs. During all procedures he/she will receive guidance in order to integrate in the best way to the activities. If, in any case, he/she will feel that doesn't hold the knowledge to execute a task, the responsibles of the projects will be there to train him properly and answer to all his questions.Also he/she will be motivated in expressing his/her own initiatives and ideas and will reciene assistance in order to realize them..
C. Volunteer profiles and recruitment process
Please describe the profiles of volunteers you would like to receive in your organisation. Include information on how you ensure an open and transparent recruitment process as well as the overall accessibility of EVS to all young people. Consider further information about the type of sending organisation you want to cooperate with. This information can help the match-making between volunteer candidates, sending organisations and your organisation.
There is no special target group of young people that you would like to host. ENGLISH is not required. GREEK is also not required. Special skills are not required. We just need young people with positive energy and lot of dreams. Age preferences: 2[tel]years old.
There is no special target group for sending organizations. Based on quality standards, communication among organizations and volunteers is high underline to our methodology. We prefer to work with open mind organizations from all over Europe focused on the communication process.
Volunteers need to send their CV and a motivation letter in which they explain the reasons of their choice. All the volunteers will get an official answer from the organization (negative or positive).
D. Special needs (if applicable)
If your placements are open to hosting volunteers with fewer opportunities, please provide information about the competence, experience and infrastructure and (human or other) resources available in your organisation to accommodate and support them.

E. Risk prevention, safety and protection
Please describe how you will guarantee a safe living and working environment for the EVS volunteers, how you will prevent risks and crises and how - in the case of EVS volunteers aged 16 or 17 - you ensure appropriate supervision, child safety and protection.
For the risk prevention, safety and protection we follow the below standards:
" We make sure that all volunteers have insurance (AXA, national health systems) insurance
" Volunteers are provided with telephone numbers available 24 hours for emergency contacts.
" The organization provides a mentor during the hall project.
" We learn (during preparation stage) from all volunteers about their healthy problem/ history (if any) before they come to the host project.
" We ask and prepare the volunteers with the sending organization for the culture integration.(leaving in a big city, rhythm of life, etc)
" We provide the volunteer's house with first aid equipment.
" We provide maps of the city and during the first days there is a supervisor always with him/her.
