CPE methods of study

Hello everyone :)
I would like to pass CPE exam in the future but don't know when exactly. My issue is that I need to find out the method of study that will help me to improve my English first. I know that I can read and listen a lot in English, but what about precise preparation to the exam? I've tried to pass CAE few months ago and got grade D, unfortunately. Right know I'm trying to figure out what should I do to prepare myself better, wait some time and pass CPE. Do you have any suggestions what should I do? Maybe you were in similar situation.

First of all, you need some serious catching up with the material. Getting a 'D' in the CAE exam clearly points out you're completely not ready to face CPE. Why would you even consider taking such a hard and demanding exam in the first place? My adivce is pull yourself together and maybe try FCE for starters and see how it goes.
