Przygotowanie do CPE

Może ktoś mi polecić jakieś książki:
Na razie znalazłem coś takiego:
1. Proficiency Practice Tests Plus ( czy na tym pozioomie jest jż tylko jedna książka ?)
2. Longman Exam Skills: CPE Listening and Speaking
3. CPE Practice Tests 2 (express publishing)
4. CPE Use of English 1 by Virginia Evans
5. do słowek mam fajną książke; Advanced Grammar & Vocabulary (

Ja mam taką radę dla wszystkich przygotowujących się do CPE. Jak jesteś już na poziomie proficiency, tzn. gramatykę masz opanowaną + zaawansowane słownictwo, to jedyną drogą dalszego, w miarę szybkiego rozwoju jest czytanie, czytanie i jeszcze raz czytanie. Jeszcze 3 miesiące temu kiepsko mi szły readingi na poziomie CPE, a teraz jestem znacznie, ale to znacznie lepszy.Czuje się jakby mi się głowa na to otworzyła i widzę rzeczy, które wcześniej mi umykały. Jak to zrobiłem?

Właśnie prez czytanie - dużo czytania. Biorę sobie jakąś książkę, albo artykuł z internetu/gazety i czytam, powiedzmy, 1 paragraf, i sam zadaje sobie pytania:

1) co z niego zrozumiałeś?
2) Czy potrafiłbyś krótko streścić ten paragraf (wlasnymi słowami)?

I czytam dalej, jeśli są jakieś interakcje między bohaterami, to staram się sam sobie opowiedzieć jaki jest stosunek tych bohaterów do siebie, do innych etc.

Jeśli natknę się na jakąś frazę czy słówko, którego nie znam, to nie zaglądam do słownika, ale próbuję domysleć się co to słowo może oznaczać, czy ma pozytywną czy negatywną konotację itd itp. Wmyślam synonimy; jeśli jest jakieś zdanie twierdzące wyrażające opinie autora, to staram sie dojść dlaczego on tak uważa; tutaj niektórzy pewnie powiedzą, że jestem "nuts", ale wczuwam sie w role egzaminatora i próbuję wymyśleć pytania do tekstu.

Czyta sie strasznie długo, ale efekty pojawiają się bardzo szybko. Spróbujcie, może tez Wam pomoże. ;P

Mam podobne podejscie, ale do czytania po polsku. BARDZo mi pomalu idzie, ale tez widze efekty. :)

W rzeczy samej. Bo nie chodzi o bezmyślne wkuwanie słówek tylko o umiejętne wychwytywanie ich znaczeń w kontekście. Z tą pejoratywą tudzież pozytywną stroną jest trochę tak jak z wyczuwaniem kobiety, czasem można się pomylić :)

Ogólnie ujmując, taka metoda jest skuteczna i przynosi owoce. Tylko trzeba też dać oczom odpocząć, Bednar :)

I couldn't agree more with Bednar87 if it comes to reading. I strongly believe that reading and listening are two crucial things to do when learning foreign language. I was preparing for CPE and reading magazines such as 'The Economist' and 'National Geographic' helped me a lot. These two have different styles and quite sophisticated language - you understand what you read but also can learn some new vocab. Moreover, what was also mentioned above, you become more fluent with every article read.

Listening, on the other hand, can help you in better understanding spoken language and different styles that people use. You can also learn some new vocab and accent.

You were asking about some books concerning CPE. I would recommend using Obejctive Proficiency and doing Past Papers from Cambridge begining with 3rd edition and above. These are thought to be on a sufficient level when compared to actual exams.
