have to/have got to

What's the difference between have to and have got to?
'Have got to' is more formal than 'have to', plus you can use 'have got to' only for a single action - not a repetitve one;)

Have got to and have to are completely interchangeable.

One thing you may wish to remember is that a lot of the time, espescially in spoken English when speaking quickly, it's contracted to I've gotta (got to= gotta), and even further to I gotta. It's very informal and written less often than it is spoken.
