symbol of wales

a tiny problem, what is the floral symbol of Wales ?
i have always thought it is a leek, but someone told me it was a daffodil
leeks were worn by Britons\' caps to distinguish friend from a foe, while fighting against the Saxons, so there is a reason, but why daffodils ?

Both a leek and a daffodil are national emblems of Wales, but a daffodil became an emblem only in the 20th century. I don\'t know why, I only remember that many people in Wales wear it on their clothes on St. David\'s Day.
