A person I know well (description)
It was a very sunny October day. I was sitting on the bench, watching the clear-blue sky, catching last beams of the autumn sun and trying to calm myself down. The smell of fresh baked bread was spreading around. It always reminds me of my home – a place where I feel save, where people accept me. But this time it didn’t work. Still I was afraid. It was my freshman year. My first day at a new school! I have always had a problem with shyness. I have struggled with it since I was a child – unfortunately , with no result. My body was shaking, hands were sweating, my throat was dry. Suddenly I heard melodic and powerful laugh. I started looking for the source of it. I expected to see a tall, well-built person, a goliath. I was surprised when I saw her. It was Anna, my new school mate. A person who have become my best friend. Her laugh was infectious. I started smiling. Instead of being anxious I started to think that everything is gonna be alright. It was the first time when I saw her and I knew that Anna is unusual person. My friend has petite frame. She has only 150 centimetres. Anna is 24 years old, smiling woman, with really big, beautiful, blue eyes, very long lashes, pale eyebrows. Her skin does look a little pink. She is a natural blond and wears her hair in a plait. She moves with grace in a smooth and very attractive way. Due to being so short she wears high heels shoes. Anna hates wearing glasses so she uses contact lenses. She is very active person, who loves sport, therefore she attends gym twice a week, but her favourite sport is badminton. Her moods are very changeable. If she has bad day she can be very clingy and tearful, but all in all Anna is a born optimist. She says: „You can’t survival in this crazy world without a sense of humour”. My friend is very accomplished person who writes good poetry and has very nice taste in music. Anna is a chatterbox, but she never turns into a wind-bag. What’s more she is life and soul of the parties and doesn’t need alcohol to relax and have fun. When I was in my second year we rented a room together. It was really good time. Living with her was an enjoyable experience but there were a few things that annoyed me. Anna is a scatterbrain. She is always looking for something. Unfortunately, she lost my book, my key, library card and a few more things. I can’t count how many times she lost her wallet. Sometimes I got a bit annoyed at her because of television. I hate watching television. For me it is just a waste of time. Anna always said ” Watching television makes me a better person”. I didn’t get it. My friend is a volunteer at local animals shelter. She is a vegetarian who loves all animals. Anna criticised me for eating meat and I sometimes got irritated with it. For her is very cruel and inhumane. She is a very good person, always helpful, trustworthy, a real straight arrow. She is not the type of person to bear a grudge against anyone. Unfortunately, Anna is very sensitive to criticism and painfully sensitive about her height. I found her to be very caring person who is always aware of feelings of other people. Anna is my bosom pal. I know she is not fair-weather friend. She supports me in everything I do. I can always relay on her. I’m sure she won’t ever let me down.
