There are a lot of advantages in introducing a blended learning to companies or schools, but what the effectiveness of blended learning actually is? According to Dewar and Whittington there is more information in literature about definition of the blended learning than its effectiveness . Charles D. Dziuban, Director of the Research Initiative for teaching effectiveness claims that blended learning course improved students results:

Leakey and Ranchoux discovered that a lot of students accepted a new way of learning in both motivational and positive way. Also landmark report named “Evaluation of Evidence-Based Practices in Online Learning “that was conducted by the United States Department in September 2010, proved by thousand empirical studies of online learning with students, showed staggering facts. When examination results came out, scientists identified 50 independent effects. To study this, scientists used the meta-analysis research method which means that result of each investigation indicates the distinction between the average for the treatment group and the average for the control group. The results were mixed, however, online learning and blended learning were better at their performance than traditional face-to-face condition. The results of a twelve-year-old research conducted among 50 individuals were significantly positive in 11 cases, favouring the online or blended learning. On the contrary, the scientists found only three effects favourable for traditional face-to-face condition.
