Ang:
First of all get a thermal image of the die before and after lubricating to see the thermal profile of the die before and after the "heat" (energy) has been taken away by the Die Lubricant.
The analysis before the lubrication is important to define the lubrication cycle.
The analysis after lubrication allows us to see if this cycle is properly settled.
The analysis must be carried on the fixed part, on the mobile part and on the moving cores of the die, by linking all the values.
It is good practice to keep a complete cast part with branches casting when making an analysis, because it allows us to consider the morphology of the piece and how it is filled.
Another point to be put in relation with the thermal analysis is the internal cooling circuit of the mold, as it is connected and the positioning of the fountains.
Also check the temperature of the oven (of metal).
At this point you have the elements to define the information
Thermal images must be understood and not taken as absolute reference because even today a number of factors could affect the data.
Today with Total Thermal Vision we have “gone beyond " the limitations of the operator that made subjective analysis, depending on the position and time of image acquisition, but some time also the inclination of the instrument and the reflective surfaces (e.g. soldering ) can alter the result. However we have to keep in mind that:
the emissivity does not change with the angle, up to a certain degree of tilt
different surfaces have different emissivity (in particular, the mold portions glossy excessive abrasion of the aluminum on the lacquer)
pay attention to the reflections of other radiating surfaces (quarries, etc..)
Thanks to Total Thermal Vision we can have a huge amount of reliable data that allows us to "think" about the data in “trend", but also allows us to perform the temperature detection without stopping the production cycle and altering the thermal balance.
To read a thermography is necessary to know the codes (colors) that are normally reported on the side of the image. If the camera is not properly planned, it selects the scale of measurement automatically and do not necessarily every time in the same way. It may happen that two thermographies in identical colors, DO NOT match the same temperatures. It sounds simple, but it is one of the most commonly encountered error.
Total Thermal Vision has fixed measuring scale to surpass this problem.
Below the same die before lubrication scale 80-400°C (left side) and scale 50-650°C (right side).
Analiza musi być kontynuowana w ustalonych częściach, on the mobile part and on the moving cores of the kokila, łącząc wszystkie wartości.
Różne powierzchnie mają różne współczynniki emisyjne (w szczególności, the mold portions glossy excessive abrasion of the aluminum on the lacquer)
