Today I would like to tell you about a Female Vocal Ensemble . It is a group of ten girls which share a passion for choral music. They are both students and graduates of our Academy. Female Vocal Ensemble was formed in October 2012 in a reply to need to make music together. Since October 2013 ensemble works at the faculty of conducting, jazz music and music education. Conductor is Anna Kowalska who graduated from the Academy with the degree of master of music in music education a few years ago. At present, she works as an assistant at the Academy.
The repertoire is mostly contemporary pieces but also compositions from earlier ages.
I`m a member of this group for a few weeks and I want to share with you my impressions. The team is very small which requires a very large vocal skills. It wasn`t a big problem for me because for three years I studied singing at the Academy. Much bigger problem was a combination of our different voices. Each of them has different timbre but when we singing together, we must sound like one. It takes a lot of attention and concentration. The work on the pieces is really fast even though they aren`t easy. They have a complicated harmony, rhythm. Often, they aren`t limited to four voices but are composed at six or seven. It makes that often vocal part is sung by only one person. It is very stressful, especially for competitions.
March 14 was the day when for the first time I performed with ensemble at the competition. I was upset not only by the fact that it was contest but that was our first performance together. The jury and the audience responded very enthusiastically to our show. As a result, we received the maximum number of points and we got a Grand Prix. We were very happy, especially in the competition involving more than thirty choirs and vocal ensembles.
In my opinion this is a phenomenon integrate the 10 women with different personalities. Sometimes it's really hard.
It is a great pleasure for me to be able to realize in this way and to share his passion for choral music.
Singing in this ensemble give a lot of joy and satisfaction, I think that not only to ourselves but also our audience performed music.

I had a horrible situation last month! My tutor walked into class and said that he would like to present us a new classmate. It was Tony, the most terrifying man I had ever saw. From the beginning seemed strange for me. Not only for me because my friends also thought nothing good about him. And we didn’t make a mistake.
He decided to sit alone at the last desk. At the beginning everyone was very satisfied with his decision but as time passed, we started to regret it. Tony all the time was shouting, coursing and throwing us different things. Of course from his place it was very easy to do. It was horrible especially during brakes when our teacher was out of classroom. We didn’t know how to deal with it. One day, my best friend Sara, decided to tell our teacher about his behavior. At the beginning Mrs. Smith also didn’t have any idea how to resolve this problem. But after some time she said us that she had one brainchild! She was very mysterious and we were waiting impatiently for her solution.
Of course, as usual, she had a grateful idea! And she helped us quickly. She had told him to clean up our classroom after lessons. Since then, Tony changed out of all recognition! He’s polite and very kind! I can’t believe it! Labour really enobles man!

Z gróy bardzo serdecznie dziękuję!
