up and down the street, then he "realised"
(realise) that the noise "came" (come)
from behind the heavy iron door of the museum.

After the police "arrested" (arrest) the robbers,
the owner of the museum "turned" (turn)
towards Tom. "Please accept this with my thanks,"
she "said" (say), and "handed" (hand)
Tom a cheque for $500. Tom "looked" (look)
at the cheque and "smiled" (smile) happily .
"You're very, very welcome," he "replyed" (reply).
