‘When you are seventeen you are not really serious.’
As our society is expanding and there is a need of more and more experts in narrow fields, a question arises – is it better to specialize at an early age, or should young people have as broad education as possible?
Being an expert means being involved by every part of your mind in some realm. And if you really want to dissect the matter, you get absorbed and don’t want to be troubled by anything else. This is how do the specialists grow up.
But…
First – not all the children know what do they want to do in the future. Some of them decide it practically before High School Diploma examinations. Thus how should they know what subjects do they want to develop already in junior high school?
Second – if a person concentrates in learning things from only one sphere, it loses part of an important material, which is already reduced in profiled classes and becomes some kind of ignorant. A person who thinks about itself as a humanist would probably disregard mathematic, and so, it would poses a large amount of knowledge about the history of the ancient Rome but could not properly extract the root of 169.
Young people should be supported by families and teachers in developing it’s favorite subject. We should not let ourselves be involved in the rats’ race. Having little knowledge about all the things that surround us and understanding them can bring only satisfaction.
As our society is expanding and there is a need 'of' FOR more and more
..people have as broad A education as possible?
Being an expert means being involved 'by' (mysle, ze to ...with) every part of your mind in some 'realm' (nie wiem, czy to najlepsze slowo).
This is how 'do' (niepotr) the specialists 'grow up' (nie, to cos nie pasuje...lepiej develop).
Thus how should they know what subjects 'do' (niepotr) they want to
develop 'already' (nie, tutaj lepiej...when they are yet) in junior high school?
Second - if a person concentrates 'in' ON learning things from only one
sphere, 'it' (niewiem czy to 'it' do person, czy sphere?, o ludziach nie mowimy 'it'-nigdy, tutaj THEY) 'loses' LOSE part of an important material, which is already reduced in profiled classes and (ale kto? co? - tutaj THEY)becomes some kind of AN 'ignorant' (moze inne slowo).
A person who thinks about 'itself' (nie, person nie jest 'it' jest he/she, tutaj daj ...themselves) as a humanist would probably disregard
mathematic, and so, 'it' THEY would...
Young people should be supported by families and teachers in
developing 'it's' THEIR favorite subjectS. We should not let ourselves be
involved in the 'rats'' (nie, to jest ...rat race) race.
arigatou!^^
