Czemu w 11 nie może być "were playing"? Nigdy nie wiem jaki dać czas:/ Mógłby mi ktoś wytłumaczyć czemu tak??

hm, nie moze tam byc 'were playing', bo to nie pasuje do calego zdania
powyzsze zdanie przekazuje taka informacje:

Pozniej tego samego dnia, kilkoro moich przyjaciol wpadlo i gralismy w karty z naszymi rodzicami. (sequence of events - jedno wydarzylo sie po drugim)

niestety, w j.polskim mamy 'gralismy', co mozna tlumaczyc na angielski jako 'were playing', no i jako 'played'; 'played' mowi nam, ze cos sie odbylo; 'were playing' mowi nam, ze cos sie odbywalo
