Jeśli chciałbym powiedzieć zdanie 'Pilot powinien panować nad sobą' - to jeśli chcę powiedzieć, że pilot wogóle, bez rozróznienia na płeć, to wtedy powinienem użyć 'onesef'?

Zdanie:

1. A pilot should be in full control of oneself.

czy 'himself'?

Jeśli chciałbym powiedzieć zdanie 'Pilot powinien panować nad sobą' - to jeśli chcę powiedzieć, że pilot wogóle, bez rozróznienia na płeć, to wtedy powinienem użyć 'onesef'?

czyli co ma być 'himself'?

Ale dlaczego skoro panować nad sobą to jest: to be in control of oneself? A pilot to przecież ani ON ani ONA - pilot wogóle, to dlaczego ma być 'himself'?

tak? Bardzo czesto uzywa się zaimka od they, themselves, kiedy plec jest nieznana; masz racje z tym. O (nie)poprawności jeszcze nie wiem, wiec nic nie mowie.

They tend to degenderize everything nowadays (so-called ‘sexual bias in pronoun usage’).

no ale 'oneself' też może być? 'Himself' właśnie nie może być, bo to tak jakby owy pilot bym facetem, a tego nie wiemy - tak mi się wydaje - że 'oneself' jest na miejscu właśnie.

pozbycie sie be in control of, i zmiana na keep control of oneself, lub control oneself
zmiana a pilot na pilots

Ja nie wiem czy ty sobie zdajesz sprawe czasami ze im wiecej piszesz tym wiecej popelniasz bledow. Nie mowie juz tylko o gramatycznych w tym i innym watku ale o semantycznych.Widac ze na sile probujesz wstawic jakies wyrazenie ktore nie pasuje albo ktorego nie do konca rozumiesz. Nie brzmi to naturalnie. Przeciez ci zalezy zeby bylo lepiej prawda. To byla rada. ( slyszalem ze ludzie sie zmieniaja)

pro-form ‘one’ : nie kazdy podmiot ( lub dopelnienie) moze byc zamienione na ‘one’. Chyba wiesz jakie nie moga byc.

Bede pisal coraz wiecej. Na tym polega nauka jezyka. Jak czlowiek cos napisze - popis ang (zazdrosc ze cos sie umie?) , jak sie pomyli (bardzo czesto przez zle klikniecie myszka tez cos. Sav hang my comments if they are eyesore. I am writing for practice :-).
