He (the professor) just said that there was a tendency among American users of English to simplify some grammatical patterns if possible. That was all that he recounted during the classes. Let's don't delve into pettifogging little details. I don't usually make a judgement on the base of what he-or-she said to me.

I haven't got the wildest idea of what life is like both in Canada and the States, hence airing an opinion on the subject would be a stupid thing to do. I didn't mean to cut American English size to down.

I sometimes happen to listen to some Canadian radio stations for the sake of the English tongue. I like when the radio 'talks to me', and not just 'sings to me'; therefore I take pleasure in listening to some gripping stories and programmes on the radio.

You seem to never end 'planting' bad info here. There's no 'the' in the asker's 'true love' sentence. It's freaking generic, and it's not even postmodified.
There's nothing actually wrong with 'to be wrong' sometimes, it's only human, but to back up your flawed arguments with corrupted information is something different. I'm disappointed.

that's exactly why there's no 'the' here. Like I said, out of context it's generic.
