Will we live forever?!
Is it possible that your child could live to see 150 years of age?What about your grandchild living to see their 1000th birhday? Scientists think that it is a definite possibility. According to futurist Ray Kurzweil, we will all be able to live forever in about 20 year.
The idea of living forever might seem like one that's limited to fairy tales, particularly if you were born in 1800, when the average life expectancy was 35 years. Now, though, men in Poland have a life expectancy of 75 years women, 80. Above-mentioned Kurzweil predicts that with the rapid growth of nanotechnology we will never die. The renowned scientist believes that we will soon have the technology necessary to halt and reverse aging.According to British gernologist,Aubrey the Grey it is possible too! “The first person to live to be 1,000 years old is certainly alive today …whether they realize it or not, barring accidents and suicide, most people now 40 years or younger can expect to live for centuries.” Perhaps de Gray is way too optimistic, but it isn't sci-fi. Medicine and modern technology are unpredictable.
Would it be boring if we could live forever? Of course, but death is part of human existence. Death is inspiration for painters,writers and poets. Honeslty,i perfer die younger than live 1000 years and feel like vegetable.
