jakiego czasu uzywamy gdy mowimy o czym co bylo i sie dawno skonczolo, co nie ma wplywu na terazniejszosc i nie podajac dokladnego czasu kiedy to sie stalo?
One day, a renowned linguist (let's call him Mr. Fillmore for convenience) was doing his routine afternoon stroll of the streets of London when he bumped into another renowned linguist (Mr. Lyons? Why not?) Mr. Lyons was happy to see Mr. Fillmore and invited him for a snack in a nearby restaurant famous for the way it served plaice (flatfish). Mr. Fillmore had other engagements that day, so he politely refused. They exchanged pleasantries and parted.
Time passed by. Mr. Fillmore spent some time in other parts of the world, but after five years he visited England again. One day, while doing his routine afternoon stroll, he bumped into the same Mr. Lyons who was walking the same street nearby the same restaurant famous for its plaice. Instead of the customary "Good afternoon," Mr. Fillmore greeted him with "How was it?"
"Excellent" was the reply.
