Football is one of the most popular team game of the world. It consist, that the two teams play on the rectangular, cover of a grass sports field. Each of the team counts 11 competitor.

The aim of this game is putting the ball into the opponent’s goal.
England, and first of all it’s capital – London, is considered a homeland of the football.

Towards the end of the XIII (thirteenth) century and the beginning of the XIV (fourteenth) century street football was very popular in London so the street pedlars turned to the king – Edward II for the introducing a prohibition of playing football in the London. The prohibition wasn’t effective even though the king introduced imprisonment for people, who brought this ban. The kings: Edward III, Richard II, Henry V and James III forbidded playing football in the city too, so with time the game died out. It revived with the bigger popularity only in 1660.

On the October in 1863 large and large of the football clubs decided to creating an organisation, which care about an English football.(miała trzymać pieczę na angielską piłką nożną?). At the tavern: “The Freemason’s Tavern” by the Great Queen Street in London established “The Football Association” that is an english union of the football.

In London at the half of the XIX (ninteenth) century opened the first football games – FA Cup that is an English Cup. At the same place for the first time drawn up the regulations of the footbell in order to regulate principles of this game.

In London are a lot of football teames but the most important is Chelsea London. That is an english sports club founded in 1905. It has a lot of sporting honours on record. The proprietor of this club is russians billionaire – Roman Abramowicz. Chelsea plays its matches on the Stamford Bridge.
The other of the important club is FC Arsenal. It is one of the most titled football club in english league and it founded in 1886 as a Dial Square. The coach of Arsenal is Arsen Wenger and ir plays matches on the Arsenal Stadium.
I’m very glad that Englishmen thought fottball because this is very interesting game.
