Extreme sports are increasing in popularity. What is your opinion on why they are so attractive and pointing out some dangers they are connected with?

There is no doubt that extreme sports became very fashionable all over the world. Despite of fact that equipment for such sport is very expensive more and more people are taking up sports like bungee jump or climbing.
What are the reasons why they do it?
Personally, I can claim that there plenty of reasons why people try extreme sports and why they achieved such popularity. Firstly, it may be caused by human's curiosity. Secondly, the life is believed to be boring for most of people. Taking up such sports can be an escape from reality, problems etc. The last but not least, it may be a challenge to prove bravery or just beat our weakness.
On the other hand, we ought to also remember about dangers connected with such sports for instance it is not good for people with heart troubles and acrophobia. Besides, there is higher level of risk than in other sports and the accidents happened more often. What is more, experience in some cases does not enough and even leaders can not predict what will happen during taking up such sports.
All in all, the dangers do not frighten people to try it. Altough, the decision whether try or not depends on person and its personality. Some of people try and do not regret but others will not face such challenge in their life once again.
