Błędy gramatyczne cz.1

Temat przeniesiony do archwium.
"People in the photo seem to be students"

Na pierwszy rzut oka zdanie wygląda poprawnie, jednakże jest błędne gdyż:

X seems to be Y używamy gdy:

1) mówimy o uczuciach
He seems to be crying.

2) mówimy o wykonywanych czynnościach
They seem to be making dinner.

Nie używamy tej konstrkucji do opisywania przedmiotów (This seems to be a table), w odniesieniu do zawodów (This man seems to be a teacher). Musimy użyć konstrukcji

X looks like Y

This looks like a table.
People in the photo look like students!!!!
This looks like the film we watched on TV last week.

Przykłady z użyciem seem:

The children seemed (as if/as though/like they were) tired.
I suspect his claims are not all they seem - he tends to exaggerate.

>"People in the photo seem to be students
mozna tez:
People in the photo 'appear' to be students because....
sama slyszalam: This seems to be a table, but it's not.
W moim slowniku:
seem: To appear to be, to have the appearance of, to look like, to be in appearance if not in reality..
appear: to seem, to convey the impression..
