For many people in Poland, Christmas are the most important time in the whole year. On Christmas Eve, at 24th December, families in their homes decorate Christmas tree,prepare gifts, cook special dishes and hang mistletoe on the ceiling. Tradition says that if we stand under the mistletoe, we must get kiss. In evening, when the first star is on the sky, people divide the wafer, unpack gifts and start eating. There should be 12 meals- symbol of 12 apostles. After festive dinner, everyone sing carols. At midnight, people go to the church for Christmas Midnight Mass. At 25th and 26th December, families meet and spend time together.
