Today life expectancy is twice longer than in the past. The studies indicate that longevity is based on two major factors, genetics and lifestyle choices. Obviously we cannot change the natural ageing process but we can care about our mental and physical health. Recently senior citizens have changed their attitude to (their?) lifestyle. Nowadays, pensioners want to enjoy their leisure time as well as they can f.eg. they travel a lot, learn new skills and practice modern sports. On the ageing process has influenced many things like general knowledge about healthy lifestyle, precipitation in social life and diet. We should remember that is not important how old we are but how old we feel because the chronological age is not connected with the biological age. We can do a lot of things which slow down the graying process and help us to stay in good shape for a long time. If you want to prolong your lifespan try to be optimistic, do exercise, eat fruit and vegetables. Obeying this advices should ensure the longevity.
