więc zdanie I wouldn't be now where I'm jest rzeczywiście niepoprawne.

Np:

A czemu na początku nie może być "but for"? Po prostu nie brzmi dobrze? (to nie jest język potoczny)

Moze i jest. Ja sie nie spotkalem z takim uzyciem. I jakbys chcial napisac "but for her help" w 'negative form', to jakby to brzmialo?

Ale co to by miało znaczyć? Pewnie nie można tak jak nie można zaprzeczyć if it weren't for her help

Ja tylko podalem przyklad tego zdania, ktory ma to samo znaczenie i nie upieram sie w moich wpisach ze inne formy nie sa poprawne. Tak jak wspomnialem: nie spotkalem sie z tak napisanym zdaniem.
