Bardzo proszę o sprawdzenie poniższego opowiadania.

Last Saturday something unexpected happened to me. My parents departed for some event celebration leaving me alone at home. It was gray and rainy outside, so I didn't go out anywhere. Bored, I decided to invite Sarah and Jane for a pyjamas party.

Girls came along after 7 p.m. At the beginning we just talked about recent events at school. Then, we found out a crazy idea to watch a horror film. Jane turned on the TV and I switched off all the lights. As soon as the film started, I overheard knocking to the entrance door.

The moment I opened the door, my cousin Jake emerged, beaming with joy. 'What are you doing in here?' I asked astonished. 'Maybe hello or good evening are in order' he responded while walking inside. Suddenly, Jane and Sarah exclaimed dreadfully. He stopped, it was nothing special, the shouts scared me to. After a second he went quickly into the room where girls were watching the film. 'It's a girls night! No boys!' teased Sarah. 'She's kidding' added Jane with a broad smile. Jake watched the horror with us and then recounted some unusual stories until late night hours.

Hardly had I woke up the next day, I picked up a call from Jane. She was utterly delighted with Jake. She thanked me for the evening and said that Sarah enjoyed it too. I answered that for me the time was also stunning and invited them for the next party.
Zauważyłam kilka drobnych problemów :)
Leaving me alone at home (home alone), my parents departed for celebrating some event.
event celebration - to są dwa rzeczowniki, więc brzmiałoby to 'wyszli na uroczystość celebrację'. Ewentualnie mogłoby być: ...for some event or celebration.

Then, we found out a crazy idea to watch a horror film. -> 'to find out' jest używane raczej jako dowiedzieć się, a nie 'wpaść na pomysł'. Spróbuj: Then we came up with a crazy idea to watch... albo 'hit on an idea'

He stopped, it was nothing special, the shouts scared me to. -> He stopped and as well I, but it was nothing special that the shouts scared me TOO. -> To zdanie po prostu się nie łączy bez jakiegoś 'ja też się zatrzymałam', 'as well I' jest jedną z opcji, którą możesz tutaj użyć.

Mam nadzieję, że trochę pomogłam, pozdrawiam :)
@whataya
zamiast 'and as well I' lepiej użyć 'and so did I'
Jeszcze co do ostatniego zdania, bardziej naturalnie jest używać invite TO the party.
Inivte sb to a party. -> it's about an event.
Inivte sb for dinner. -> it's about eating.

Napisałam, że 'as well I' jest jedną z opcji; nawet zwykłe 'me too' mogłoby tam być. Ale faktycznie 'so did I' brzmi najbardziej naturalnie w tym zdaniu. :)
knocking TO the () door. = po polsku;)

nie zrozumiałaś. And as well I jest źle
