I live in Łobżenica. It`s a small town in the north-west of Poland. Łobżenica is about 40 km from Nakło. It covers an area of 190,7 sq. km which is inhabited by almost 3000 people.
Łobżenica have got two old, beautiful churches, where catolic people can pray for Jezus. The town is famous for big dairy.
There is a bank in Łobżenica, where people can keep their money, three schools (primary school, secondary school and high school), gym and lots of shops. Since two years my town got a new sports hall.
Baroque Sanctuary of the Virgin Mary in Górka Klasztorna (this Sanctuary is one km far to the west of Ł-ca), admired for its beautifil architekture and rich interior furnishings, is favourite destinations for pilgrims. It`s the oldest Sanctuary in Poland, it was estabilished in the II-th century. In 1079 Saint Mary appeared to a shepherd. Around the Sanctuary is a beautiful oak grove, where in Big Lent is celebrated the Mystery of Christ`s Passion. Górka Klasztorna is the venue for the “Maria Carmen” National Religious Song Festavil. During the concert teenagers sing religious songs. Today the Sanctuary is famous not only for the miraculous painting of God`s Mother but also for a well, where is health water.
The weather is various. Winter is cold and full of snow. The summer is quiet hot but some days are cloudy and rainy.
In Ł-ca is a lot of beautiful places where citizens can spend their free time. They can go for a walk to the imagine park, play basketball, go on the bank of the river.
In Ł-ca there are diffrent people. Some citizens are rich, so they can have expensive cars and cloths. There are also people who are poor. The rate of unemployment is very high. People are out of job. In spite of that, life here is intresting.
The atmosphere is nice and friendly. People are outgoing and are good to each other. They don`t have a tendency to gossip. There is full positive energy. I really enjoy living here.
