Narrative story „The locked door”

John closed the door very quietly and waited. Prior to this he had hanged an enlarged the photography of his famous wife in place of huge mirror inside her dressing table. It was pouring with rain all night and Jenny was sleeping tight. However, he was so curious about her reaction that he couldn`t sleep a wink.

Counting drops, which were falling down on the window, he was looking forward to bright and breezy morning until she would wake up as she always did so. Suddenly, she saw the first flash of lighting and heard the rumbling of thunder. Shaking with fear, sweaty Jenny gave a piercing scream.

No sooner did she notice the photos than he got closer in order to eavesdrop her unusual behavior as he expected. Staring at the photo in disbelief she seemed to be stuck in a moment. Jenny realized that this almost naked, curvaceous blonde woman with a seductive smile, it was her. She was cuddled up to an influential MP in a seedy nightclub. Moreover there was humiliating heading written by her malicious husband: “Join to A-level list star-she is waiting for you”. As soon as she read it, she seethed with anger. She entered his room with glaring eyes: “How dare you?” said Jenny who was in a temper.

Siping his tea, John responded calmly:” I chanced to see you in this …err…club, don`t you think you are photogenic and it would be a good idea to make it public? Moreover it makes journalist write some riveting articles”. As he said this, sarcastic smile lit up his face. It was below her dignity to answer this. She saw red, her eyes filled with tears and she tore the photos to pieces. Then she got a grip on herself dressed up, packed her thins and slammed the door rapidly.

When John got up next morning, he thought that it was very vindictive of him to treat his wife like that and he was filled with remorse over hurting her. Started thinking about cons of loneliness, he felt a little bit alone. However he gave a look at pieces of photos, he realized that his life had changed and he should take an opportunity of being free, which was blessing fof him. Finally, he didn`t have to pretend to be someone else.
