A Group Celsa is located in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. This company was created in 1967 year. On these company there are five enterprises : Celsa, Nervacero, Global Stell Wive, Celsa UK and Celsa “Huta Ostrowiec”. These firms become leaders on national market of metallurgic articles, and whole Group Celsa is one from largest manufacturers steel in Europe. Celsa “Huta Ostrowiec” has been owned two electric curved stores. Steel is smelted there.
The main material for steel mills is scrap.
The scrap is smelted in the smelting furnace, thus becoming molten steel, which then goes on to the refining furnace where it is given the desired chemical composition and the right temperature for the continuous casting process.
The molten steel is sent next from the refining furnace to the continuous casting machine, where the semi-finished product called billet is produced by solidification.
The billet is then sent directly into a reheat furnace in such a way that save as much energy as possible. Reheated billet then feeds the hot-rolling train. The rolled material in bars is received from the output of that train by the cooling plate. Lastly, it is cut and packed, ready for storage and distribution.
