‘Being a teacher’
Teacher is a person who teaches some subject or instructs students , but also – what seems to be more important- bringing them up. This definition from an English dictionary, only briefly describe this profession. But, what are pro and cons of ‘being a teacher?’

There are several arguments in favour of working as a teacher. To begin with, it is a very fascinating job, because this is not only providing information, theory or some material but, this is the biggest challenge of making lessons interesting for pupils.

What is more, teachers should know that they play a very important part in every student’s live. They need special personal qualities to work in school, for example: patience, understanding, firmness. They have to bear in mind that students are good observers- especially pupils from primary school and for them, a teacher is kind of ‘guru.’

Fruthermore, it is a rewarding job, since when teachers see how their students become more wiser and well educated people with chance to achieve success in their adults lives.
This is a reason why their work is not prove futile.

However, there are also drawbacks of being a teacher. Firstly, teaching is a profession that requires total commitment. This job is not finished after eight hours, because very often teachers have to devote time at home to prepare tests, check a homeworks or essays. They cannot do this at school, because a teacher has to pay attention to pupils.

Last but not least, the amount of work is not proportional to the wages, what is really annoying. Moreover, it can be very depressing job for people who have not get strong character, for example children can be rude or spiteful.

In conclusion, being a teacherhas, to my mind, more advantages than disadvantages. The head reason is the fact that a teacher play a key role in society. The job they do is very worthwile and fascinating.
