Hotel Management is a true responsibility, but it is not an industry.
Industries produce material goods. Hotels don't. They deliver hotel services.
But "hotel services" is not an industry, despite what you can hear every day.
If hotel services were an industry, waiting to tables would have to be the waiting industry. Or would it be industry in waiting?
