podręcznik dla dorosłych, intermediate-jaki??

witam wszystkich, mam udzielać korków dwom panom po 30-tce, mieli długa przerwe w nauce, i pasowaloby mi znalezc dla nich cos co byloby niezbyt szkolne, bardziej zyciowe, w ksiegarni znalazlam kursy (tzn ksiazka+kasety) Cutting edges, New insight into English (lub New insight into business English -ulecial mi dokladny tytul :) i IN english, czy ktos mial stycznosc z takimi ksiazkami i moglby mi powiedziec jak sie z nich uczy? przegladajac na szybciora niewiele moglam wywnioskowac....dzieki za jakiekolwiek info

1) Check their level in all skills before choosing the textbook.
2) Ask them if they need more Business English or General English.
3) Determine the potential duration of the course. Some textbooks need 60 hours a level whereas others need 80 or 120. It makes a good impression when you can do the whole textbook in the time provided. It's also methodologically viable.
4) Talk to your Longman, Cambridge or Macmillan representative and let them recommend something. You can also check the publishers' websites.

O książkach Cuttung edge mogę powiedzić ze są okropinie nudne. Jest tam baaaardzo dużo speakingu i mało wszystkiego innego. Ciągle tylko work in pairs, gramatyka wytłumaczona ogólnikowo, korzystam z tych książek w szkole tylko dlatego, że musze; mi sie nie podoba, faktem jest jednak, że jeżeli mają to być książki dla pań po 30tece to są one dość poważne, jak to nazwałaś bardziej żeciowe, ale osobiście nie polecam. Decyzja jednek i tak nalezy do ciebie. Pozdrawiam :)

Może English-File - to jeden z lepszych podręczników obecnie. Bardzo dobrze się sprawdza przy nauce dorosłych.

I checked, it's intermediate :), they need revising some grammar from previous stages, but, generally speaking - they should have a book at intermediate level

One of them needs general , the other - more business

Thanks for this suggestion. I haven' t considered the length of the course while thinking about a book (it's about 50 hours)

Poziom intermediate English File jest naprawdę ok:)...

Do businessu bardzo dobry jest Market Leader - ale on też jest bardzo biznesowy i bym powiedziała, że poziom intermediate z niego jest ciut wyżej niż taki ogólny intermediate - a na pewno jest sporo więcej słówek.

Mnie, jako osiemnastoletniej uczennicy, bardzo podobał się podręcznik English-File upper-intermediate. Jest naprawdę świetny i pełen interesujących tekstów, do których często powracam. Poziomu intermediate tego podręcznika nie znam, ale całkiem możliwe, że jest tak samo dobry!
