The book which I read was ,,The Wednesday wars’’ write by Clarion Books. This was a story about teenage boy and his live. He had a lot of problems including with parents. Mr. and Mrs. Hoodhood care about their image. Their house at first sight seemed perfect. Perfect matching azalea bushes, cement squares and perfect clear windows. But life in Perfect House was hard.
His father was an architect and work was the most important thing in his life. Mr Hoodhood didn’t like talking about things, which didn’t concern his contracts and projects. He was a narrow-minded and he thought that only he knew what is good for his children. When Heather, his daughter tried to talked with him about politics it always ended in an argument. He was laughing at Holling when he told him that he thinking of military school in Alabama, because he saw no possibly for Holling than getting job as architect and he thought that it is the only way he become a man. With Heather was even worst, because she still showed that she is a flower child but Mr. Hoodhood believed a flower child is hippie who lives in dirty jeans and who can’t change a pair of socks.
Holling tried to become closer to him father. He ask him for advice, but Mr. Holling has never helped him. He was always watching tv. Really often when Holling need his father, he let him down. For example after the show, where Holling was fairy he didn't watched this and didn't came so Holling had to went to meeting with famous sportsman by bus and people look strange at him, because he was wore yellow tights with feathers.
mr. Holling often disappointed his son so at least he didn't want to people called him 'mr. Hoodhood', because it sounded like talking to his father, but he didn't wanted to be as him.
Mother, father and sister didn’t talked with boy, so he consulted a teacher, Mrs. Baker. She was more like a mother to Holling than his biological mother. She was with him, when he had problems and when he was happy. Holling owed her, his succes in competition, because Mrs. Baker showed him, how he should ran.
I thing members od Hoodhood family had bad relationship with themselves. They lived in one house but they didn’t live togther.
