10. The training last from '10AM till 12 o’clock' nie, tutaj mieszasz...from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. albo from 10 o'clock to 12 o'clock).

1. no właśnie nie jestem pewien gdzie umieścić 'largely'. Myślałem, że na końcu jest OK :(

chociaz dla pewnejszego przekazu, unika sie tego am/pm w przypadku 12, i mowi sie 12 noon oraz 12 midnight

@engee: the pairing of to yield/intensely doesn't work for me; rather jarring

no ale 'give way' też może być zamiast np. 'give in'. Więc dlaczego nie 'He gave way to her largely'. W sensie, uległ jej namowom.

jezeli znasz zrodlo skad wiesz ze twoja wersja jest poprawna to tak napisz. Ja wylapalem taki quote: he finally gave in to her nagging, ustapil jej marudzeniu /nie wiem czy ta polska wersja OK/

Rozne odcienie tego twojego zdania. Zabronione ?

'is' is ok, terri. Viewed as a single unit like 'is the period of time...?'
Three miles is.., ( the distance) five dollars is..( the amount )
Notional concord with plural noun phrases.
But .. 'are' is possible like in "these last five hours ( also 'this last five hours')

or Subject and Verb Agreement.

to ja oze napisze, ze w przypadku grupy rzeczownikowej stanowiacej podmiot zlozony zdania, ujmujacej jednostki skladajace sie na jej calosc, taka grupa traktowana jest jako pojedynczy nosnik, i stad uzycie formy pojedynczej czasownika
