I agree with engee. You don't need to raise an already raised object and introduce it with 'for' to make it an already implied 'subject' of the infinitive clause. That goes for logic.
Though again, this is not uncommon in AmE, but rather with verbs that are primarilly restricted to those with the meaning of wanting or liking. I guess it's becoming more and more 'popular' in BrE too. But that’s good either. Maybe they will finally learn how to speak real English.:)
