A guidance counsellor sees students about any difficulties they may be having . They help you explore the feelings, thoughts, and behaviours that you are experiencing and assist you to understand them. Helping students to plan and set goals in order to overcome these hassles is also a big part of what they do. If necessary a school guidance counsellor can connect you with other people who can also help (eg. other counsellors, health clinics, or people from your local community etc). Your school guidance counsellor won't tell anybody else what it is that you are seeing them about (not unless they are really worried about your safety or you say they can).
