czy te zdania sa poprawne?

Witam:)
Ostatnio dowiedziałem sie o konstrukcji "so as not to".
Przecztałem w English File (upper, strona 99)ze nie mozna napisac:
I hurried not to miss the bus,
zamiast tego powinno byc
I hurried so as not to miss the bus.

Czy to oznacza, ze np zdania ponizej sa niepoprawne?
1. I went to work not to go to my friends (Poszedłem do pracy aby nie pojsc do przyjaciol)
lub
2. I learnt English not to learn German (uczyłem sie angielskiego azeby nie uczyc sie niemieckiego)

czy trzeba uzywac konstrukcji "so as not to..." a nie "not to..."?

Czy zdania 1 i 2 sa poprawnie czy tez trzeba uzywac w takiej sytuacji konstrukcji "so as not to"?

"so as" or "in order to" are used:

1) With a NEGATIVE INFINITIVE to express a NEGATIVE PURPOSE:

He left his gun outside in order/ so as not to frighten us.

Nie ma informacji o tym, ze mozna so as/ in order to pominac!

Poza tym jeszcze jedno:

5) so as/ in order sa konieczne w zdaniach twierdzacych, jesli mamy dopelnienie osobowe, a chcemy podkreslic, ze cel nalezy do podmiotu, np:

He sent his sons to a boarding school in order/ so as to have some peace. (he, not his sons, wanted some peace)

He sent his sons to a boarding school to learn to live in a community. (zeby synowie, nie on, sie tego nauczyli)
