Hi guys, Would you be so kind as to provide me with a definition (and at least one example in use, if possible) of the following expression: "whatever floats your boat"

also: "whatever makes you tick"
They are all those things that you like and are interested in.

my dict says: 'whatever floats your boats' - /spoken/ used for saying that altough an idea or plan des not seem good to you, you can accept that someone else likes it.
