patrzeć przez palce jako idiom, to tak, ale w oryginale jest "szpary" i nie może tego za bardzo zabraknąć w ang.

I have problem falling asleep, breathing, talking to him...= I have difficulty, it's not easy for me to...(for example, because of my high blood pressure, because he doesn't understand English,....). Here "problem" means "difficulty." No "with."
N.B. Making this "problem" countable (and plural) is no improvement.


I have a problem with talking to him, your understanding of "problem," my breathing problem, the war in Iraq, snowy winters in Canada, = I object to... hate to...disagree with... refuse to...
N.B. This "problem" needs its "a" and "with."

Chodzi Ci o polski idiom "patrzeć przez palce"? Po ang to chyba "turn a blind eye to sth".

czy może ktoś mi przetłumaczyć to zdanie: "Watched it all go by". Na prawdę nie mam pomysłu na przetłumaczenie tego.

Tak, zastanawia mnie jednak czy "look through fingers" nie będzie miało jeszcze innych konotacji, stąd przykład z patrzeniem przez palce w sensie podobnego idiomu :)

Co jakiś czas to nie "constant". Bo "constant" to ciągłych, nieustających, próśb, kojarzy się negatywnie. A babcia nie upraszała go i błagała, żeby zakrywał oczy.
Pleases mi tu nie pasuje. Ona po prostu powiedziała, tak jak mówią dorośli do dzieci, zakryj oczy, dziecko posłusznie zakrywa, żeby nie denerwować, ale i tak podgląda...

Wg mnie zmieniłeś znaczenie i nie zachowałeś ekwiwalencji tłumaczenia.

no jeśli nawet pleas, ale to nie pasuje, już niedaleko temu do "implore", a tu nie ma mowy o błaganiu, więc po co dopisywać coś czego nie ma?

Who ever told you 'problem' is a non-count noun :O
It should always read, 'I have a problem falling/brething/talking' etc.
