we only were knowing each other for two weeks.poprawne?

nie.

we only knew each other for two weeks
had known
czemu past perfect?
a znamy sie od dwóch tygodni to będzie we have known each other for 2 weeks
a co znaczy 'znamy/znalismy sie dwa tygodnie'? To nie znaczy 'koniec znajomosci'!
no tak, dlatego zaproponowałem po jednej wersji dla: znaliśmy się przez dwa tygodnie (ale np. on umarł) i znamy się od dwóch tygodni
a czemu tam chcesz użyć past perfect? :)
dlatego ze to nie znaczy 'koniec znajomosci'. Konteksty typu 'ale on umarl' wystepuja bardzo rzadko.
no rozumiem zdanie typu "my neighbour died and it's a pity because we had known each other only for 2 weeks", ale w innym kontekscie po co dawać past perfect?
simple past moze byc

jezeli jest to w zdaniu z when, a prawdopodobnie when w kontekscie sie pojawia, to simple past nie pasuej
