Wiem że z about to zmartwiony ale mogę też powiedziec concerned at jako zmartwiony?

W słowniku mam że jest respond TO a w tym zdaniu z książki jest to w nawiasie czyli jest opcjonalne.
Musi być czy nie?

3.spotkalam się z takim zwrotem "he is a calming influence", tekst był o psie, który ma uspokajający wpływ na ludzi. Tylko że zawsze jest że ktos HAS a calming influence -ktos/coś ma taki wplyw a tu jest że he is, czy to jest poprawne? Może być że a dog is a calming influence?

Those sentences are correct. Would you say the article “a” is “optional” in those sentences? If you said yes, I'd be concerned for you.
But I know you wouldn't, because you have an inquiring mind.
