Bardzo prosze o sprawdznie poprawnosci zdan z mojego listu motywacyjnego:

1) czy to nie brzmi zbyt prosto? Szczegolnie zastanawia mnie "so far":
"Being satisfied with knowledge and experience I have gained so far, I have made a decision to direct my career path towards my second profession – Geodesy."

2) Ktora wersja byla by lepsza?
"Now I am looking to gain a Geophysicist position in Oil and Gas industry with development potential" / "Now I am seeking a Geophysicist position in Oil and Gas industry with development potential."

With regards to 2nd problem, I was wondering whether the sentence "Now I am looking to gain ..." is correct, even if perhaps it is not suitable for cover letter?

Provided that you have just described the knowledge and the experience, it's fully correct.

Vis-a-vis the second problem it is rather correct. The definiton of the word "gain" from Cambridge's Dictionary:
to get something that is useful, that gives you an advantage, or that is in some way positive, especially over a period of time. So, I suppose that it does collocate.

Lepsza wersja jest druga:

CURRENTLY, I am seeking a

Currently would be definietly better. Seek is a sophisticated word as well. And it collocates with all the non-empirical words. So I agree.
