Apparently you don't have a leg to stand on here, so it's not for you to say if you're tough or not. I think you're tough enough and the evidence here seems to suggest exactly that. No matter how you slice it, you've just annihilated a tough-as-nails porcupine. The end of story.

I thought as much, though I sit in Warsaw I feel as if I ran on CDT as I turn in early in the morning when my favorite Dallas talk show hosts end "broadcasting".

I saw the pics, Lenny right ? He looks as one of those SWAT guy. My heart goes out to such people like him .It's awesome for those in the know given that what this man must feel like with his leg after polio.It's even worse than being an amputee coz then I dont at least have to drag the unnecessary weight behind me. When I was looking at the pics I couldn't think of myself the way but "I am not a patch on him".When I was in hospital I met one bud with polio. He was unnable to move completely and I often talked to him. Being a relatively stable "wheel material candidate" the guy has become the literally bedridden over three years.

They're supposed to say 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Somehow, it doesn't apply to me coz it's actually slowly "killing" me but i'm relatively fresh-minted amp and they say things should get aesier as time goes by.I am in touch with a couple of amps from ACA(Amputee Coalition of America) and we sometimes talk on our prosthetic stuff,and though we dont have equal opprtunities as for having advanced prostheses we all have to grapple with the same health and psychological problems.
I hope I'll by myself the high-tech leg soon and do the impressive "catwalk" on Marszalkowska street. As for now the only thing I am highly adept at is scaring kids off somewhere in the park when I need to take off my "creepy" leg.

Life kind of makes sense when you have something to go after. I guess inspiration is where it's at.

Like you said in your previous post, we're all gonna die soon enough, so it kind of doesn't make sense to precipitate the end, does it?. What I'm trying to say is we might as well try to enjoy our lives as much as we can, for as long as we can. Well, you've kind of lost your..hmm..footing for a moment, but give it time..Just give it time.

Yeah, it is , Well, in fact I wish her all the best because she is in the same boat as me to some extent as she is an amp like me ( though she is transtibial, that is below the knee speak in amputee's parlance).Public adore her but I think she is just another well constructed steamy doll you know one of those " tits out to here and wheels like Betty Grable"( as for her "head lights" I've seen better ones , haha). But she seems to me a bit phony however.
I remember when she made a conspicuous promise to fund a prosthesis for another amp girl( the media was all over that) and didn't keep it. Why make promoises you can't keep? And publicly to boot ? Kinda of ostentatious displays of spirious generosity , dunno may be I'm wrong may be she is only trying to keep up apperances of being an upright "socially astute" person.
